Many brides host a bridesmaids' luncheon to thank their friends & family for all their support and to have some last-minute bonding. Usually on the casual side, the luncheon is an opportunity to swap stories and for the bride to present each bridesmaid with a bridesmaid gift. The bridesmaids' luncheon is usually held a day or two before the wedding. Think intimate and invite girls only: your maid of honor, bridesmaids, and flower girl. Some brides also include mothers, grandmothers, and other female family members. No invitations are necessary. Host your luncheon in an elegant, convenient setting or in a place that has special significance for all of you. You may want to consider an outdoor beach picnic or park party if you prefer something casual. Plan a menu of traditional treats like finger sandwiches, mini pastries and mints. Also, a Caesar salad, bagels and fruit, and even sushi can work. The emphasis of the luncheon is about enjoying each other's company. Now is also the time to give your bridesmaids their gifts. You can place the gifts at each bridesmaid's place setting, or personally hand out the gifts. Be sure to thank each of them with a handwritten note.
